CDL-B passenger endorsements Star Career Training - The Class B CDL License is required to operate any single vehicle that isn’t hitched to a trailer (commercial trucks that have an attached cab and cargo area with a combined weight greater than 26,000 pounds). Vehicles carrying more than 16 passengers inclusive of the driver are also included in the scope. This 80-hour Class B CDL training will prepare you in 2 short weeks with classroom and hands-on driving enabling you to operate these vehicles: Straight trucks, Large buses (city buses, tourist buses) Segmented buses, Box trucks (including delivery trucks and furniture trucks), Dump trucks.
CDL-B passenger and School Bus endorsements Star Career Training - In addition to the Texas Class B CDL with passenger endorsement, you can receive the school bus endorsement that transports 16 or more students in the state of Texas and requires passenger safety training and maneuvering of large vehicles. Add this school bus endorsement to your Class B CDL with passenger endorsement for a total of 96-hour training in less than 3 short weeks.
Refresher - 40-clock hour training program designed to exceed the standard certification for entry-level truck drivers. Students will learn about Tractor-Trailer vehicle systems, the Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and regulations, and logs and legal topics pertaining to safe operations. Additional topics include cargo handling, hazardous materials, and the vehicle pre-trip inspection and students will receive a defensive driving course. Motor Vehicle Registration and drug screening for the refresher program are required prior to registration, also required are an active CDL Class A and DOT physical. All participants are expected to follow safety and social distancing protocols.
